Qua Leba was born in Vietnam and received his
Bachelor of Laws (L. L. B.) at the University of
Saigon. His career as a lawyer ended with
Vietnam War when he left his family and
homeland behind and became a landed immigrant in
Canada. By 1984, he was able to bring his wife
and children to Canada.
From the time he was a
teenager, Qua had dreamed of becoming an artist.
Despite the pressures of earning a living in his
new county, Qua began to explore his dream of
becoming an artist. He studied art from library
books and experienced with art materials.
Finally, three years ago, he began to paint.
This exhibition showcases his first collection
of paintings to the public.
